It was great to have the opportunity last night to join Jacob Young - MP for Redcar & Cleveland on a call with Policing Minister Kit Malthouse.
The minister has excellent knowledge of our force and the challenges it faces so it was really pleasing to hear his views on policies and initiatives that will help us make a significant difference in the months and years to come.
We discussed car crime, burglary, drug and alcohol related issues as well as how we can use technology to better effect in both detection of crime and in sentencing solutions to aid officers in targeting repeat offenders.
Our area has a strong ally in Kit Malthouse and I know we can build a relationship that will benefit Cleveland police from day one of my tenure as PCC if I have your support on May 6th.
